Hope everyone had a great Christmas/New Year's.
December 30th was a tough pill to swallow. The Hawkeyes gave it their all and looked like a different ballclub against a tough Texas team...speaking to people who attended (including my Dad), Texas fans were very impressed with the Hawks and the fire they showed.
The call against Chandler (would have made the score 21-3) for not "covering up" was complete bull, not that the right call wasn't made, but that it is rarely ever called. And the Texas player DID step out of bounds at the end of the game, that would have given Tate about 30 more seconds to work.
Despite these things, it was nice to see Iowa "give a damn" and play well, for the most part. But bottom line is winning. Let's hope there is much more of that next year.
